Attack on Titan is set in a world where humanity lives in fear of Titans, massive humanoid creatures who devour humans without reason. The Titans have destroyed much of humanity, and the remaining people live in fear behind three concentric walls. When a Titan suddenly appears and breaches the outermost wall, young Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, and Armin Arlert witness the destruction and death of their friends and families. Vowing to reclaim their freedom and protect their home, the three friends join the military to fight against the Titans and uncover the truth behind their existence.
