Every Anime Series Set for December 2023 Release

Over the past ten years, the anime business has seen highs and lows. However, despite the fact that many anime series have recently become generic and follow the same isekai routine, a few adaptations, such Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, and Vinland Saga, have maintained the momentum.

But before we can get there, we have to get through December, which is the last month of 2023. The upcoming month has several intriguing titles, though not quite as many as in past months. Renegade Immortal

Chinese anime is just as good in terms of animation quality and story selection, but it is largely restricted within the country and is not as popular as Japanese anime outside of China. These shows, which usually center on the idea of cultivation fantasy, tell some fantastic tales about gods, demons, and mythical animals while thrilling us with action, adventure, and nail-biting moments along the way.

Er Gen, the author of A Will Eternal and I Shall Seal the Heavens, is best known for his book Renegade Immortal. After being published in 2009, it at long last got an anime adaption in September 2023, and episodes have been airing every week since.

Wang Lin, a young prodigy from a family that its relatives shun, is the subject of Renegade Immortal. After being granted the chance to walk the path of immortality, he discovers that his talent is mediocre, but he is more than willing to make up for it with hard work. Renegade Immortal will keep releasing episodes on a weekly basis because the majority of Chinese anime series typically have hundreds of episodes and are not separated into seasons. Hyakushou Kizoku Specials

The Noble Farmer, also known as Hyakushou Kizoku, is a well-known anime that is based on the manga of the same name. The anime, which had a unique but humorous premise, ran for 12 episodes, from July 2023 to September 2023.

The animation studio "Pie in the Sky," which has animated shows akin to Ponkotsu Quest and Chibi Godzilla, has decided to release two special episodes in light of the anime's success. The adventures of mangaka Hiromu Arakawa and the ways in which her experiences shaped her editor, Ishii, will be chronicled in these specials going forward.

Dropkick on My Devil!!: End of Century Edition

Fans of the well-liked comedy anime Dropkick on My Devil!! can relax despite the unimpressive December anime schedule because it will get a special episode titled "End of Century Edition." A crowdsourcing campaign that raised 115 million yen made this special episode possible, making it the most funded campaign for animation production in Japan's history. The following is the official anime synopsis:

A demon from Hell named Jashin-chan was unexpectedly called to the world of humans by Yurine Hanazono, a stoic college student who resides in a dilapidated Jinbocho apartment. Not knowing how to send Jashin-chan back, Yurine forces them to become roommates. But Jashin-chan told her that she could kill Yurine to return, so she does it...? A seductive roommate comedy that makes you think twice!

Pokémon Concierge

A new stop-motion animated series called Concierge is part of the Pokémon media franchise, which has produced a number of television programs and video games. During the February 2023 Pokémon Day presentation, the anime was unveiled, revealing that Dwarf Animation Studios would be producing it for Netflix.

On December 28, all four episodes of the ONA (Original Net Animation) series will be made available simultaneously on Netflix. This fantasy adventure story follows Haru, a young girl employed at the Pokémon Resort, as she encounters a variety of creatures and sees how they form bonds with the people they have dedicated their lives to.

Burn the Witch #0.8

Given that not one, not two, but four anime shows are releasing specials this December, it appears to be the month of specials. Burn the Witch, as many of us are aware, is set in the Bleach universe and centers on Noel and Ninny, two witches who work for the Soul Society's Western Branch in Reverse London.

A new special called Burn the Witch #0.8, a prequel to the original anime, will debut on December 29. Along with the main voice cast (Asami Tano, Yuina Yamada, Shimba Tsuchiya, Hiroaki Hirata, and Rie Hikisaka), Tatsuro Kawano will return as director.
